

Dr. Steinberg is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and has completed a fellowship in sports medicine and traumatology at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia. His advanced training in these two areas makes him an invaluable asset to athletes and others with serious musculoskeletal injuries. He has special interests in reconstructive procedures of the knee, including joint replacement surgery. Dr. Steinberg has worked as a team physician for the Columbus Cottonmouths, a professional hockey team, the Columbus Wardogs, a professional arena football team, and is currently a team physician for the Frederick Keys (the Carolina League Affiliates of the Baltimore Orioles), Tuscarora High School, Thomas Johnson High School, Urbana High School, and Hood College. He has published numerous papers in the orthopaedic literature and presented at numerous conferences on various topics, including a new state of the art technique to repair fractures of the femur and a new technique to reduce blood loss during surgery.
Dr. Steinberg completed his internship at Michigan State University's Ingham Regional Medical Center and his orthopaedic surgery residency at Michigan State University's Garden City Hospital.
Dr. Steinberg is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics and numerous medical societies.
